we are strong.

Boston is my home.

I never want to hear sirens rip through the city the way I did, echoing loudly and reverberating on buildings. I don't want to think about all the people I handed water out to earlier as they ran in the marathon, realizing they could be dead.  I don't want to have to message all of my friends frantically, wondering if they had decided to go to the finish line after all, and I don't want to have to enter a quiet lounge with the news blaring about missing limbs and terrorism. Ever. Again.

No one should ever have this happen to their city.
(please keep all the marathon runners, spectators, first responders, family, and city residents in your prayers tonight)

  1. I thought of you when I heard about the attack on TV! My best friend lives there as well, but she was fine. I had another friend who was 2 blocks away and yet another who was actually running in the marathon (though she was 5 miles away when the bombs blew). Either way, though, very scary stuff. :/ It must be sad to experience it firsthand. I can't fathom the lack of empathy one must have to commit such a crime.

    Glad you're alright!

  3. It's so hard when something tragic happens in your city; it's your home and that's where you want to feel safe. But you and everyone else in the Boston area are continuously in my (and I know many other's) prays!

  4. This was terrifying. It's the start of running season here too and everyone is on high alert. I'm glad that you are safe.
